Olivia Wilde was born Olivia Jane Cockburn (pronounced “coburn”) on March 10, 1984 in New York City. She is the daughter of journalist parents Andrew and Leslie Cockburn and the granddaughter of writer James Helvick. Growing up in Washington DC, she attended school at Georgetown Day School. Olivia left Georgetown to go to Phillips Academy in Massachussetts, where Olivia was an enthusiastic (and sometimes wild!) contributor to school drama productions.

After leaving college, Olivia moved to Los Angeles. She got an internship job as a casting director for the movie The Girl Next Door, which stared Elisha Cuthert. She even succeeded in playing a small part in the movie. Olivia also appeared in the movies Alpha Dog and Turistas. On TV, Olivia secured regular roles in the short-lived shows Skins and The Black Donnellys. Next came Olivia’s breakthrough performance, playing the part of Alex Kelly,the character who had a salacious bisexual relationship with Marissa (Mischa Barton) in The O.C..

In 2007, Olivia won the part of Dr Hadley in the FOX drama series House MD. To begin with, she was one of a number of doctors competing to joins House’s diagnostic team (after the departure of Foreman, Cameron and Chase). Her competition number was 13 (typically House bizarrely gave the competitors numbers), and this became her nickname. Her acting skills have improved from episode-to-episode -undoubtedly a part of Hugh Laurie’s stellar perfomance has rubbed off on her.

Olivia married Tao Ruspoli, a documentary filmmaker, photographer and flamenco guitar player on June 7, 2003. They reside in Venice, Los Angeles, California.

Odette Yustman comes from Los Angeles. She has a Cuban mom, and an half Italian, half-French father (who was raised in Nicaragua). A winning combination if you want great looks and a fluency in a second language - Odette is fluent in Spanish.

Odette started in the movies at an early age – at the age of 5 she appeared in the comedy Kindergarten Cop, playing one of the so-cute kids at the Kindergarten. She still remembers running around the movie set with a bunch of kids causing total havoc – their favorite trick was knocking on Arnold’s trailer door then running off to hide! Odette had been infected with the movie bug at a very young age.

Throughout school Odette took an active interest in acting and drama – on leaving high school she took up modeling as an inbetween job whilst diligently searching for an opening into the entertainment business.

Her persistence paid off in 2006, when Odette succeeded in landing a part in TV, with a good sized role in the series South Beach. Odette played a sizzylingly hot model on beautiful Miami Beach, but even this did not attract enough viewers to save the series from the axe after only 8 eps.

Odette’s next role was in the TV series October Road. The storyline is about the author of a best-selling book, in which the characters are based on his teenage friends. When he returns to his hometome he meets up with them all again, and has a lot of explaining to do. Odette took the role of Aubrey, a love interest of the leading man. This time the show lasted for a second series.

Next came Odette’s big break into the movie-world, with a leading part in the much-hyped Cloverfield. Odette was extremely gorgeous, and helped take our minds off the monster rampaging through New York.

Early 2009 saw the opening of the horror movie The Unborn, in which a woman fights against possession by her crazed unborn twin. Odette put up with uncomfortable contact lens, huge potato-bugs, and six takes for the speculum-in-her-eye eye-doctor scene to record her best perfomance to date.

Olga Kurylenko, whilst filming the thriller Hitman, famously sent her body double away to perfom in the pole dancing scene herself. For Olga is a seasoned lingerie model, who has no qualms about portraying a very sexy image for the camera.

Born in Berdyansk, a small seaside town in Ukraine, Olga was brought up by her mother, after her father left just after she was born. Olga and her mother shared a small state appartment with several relations, and sometimes it was hard to make ends meet. But her mother, a talented art teacher, instilled in the small girl a love of the arts, sending her to ballet and piano lessons. At the age of 13, Olga and her mother went on a trip to Moscow. Waiting for a underground train in a subway station, the pair were taken back with surprise when a woman, claiming to be a modeling scount, approached them to say that Olga may have a great future in modelling. Olga’s mom was at first suspicious of the woman’s motives, but after making further investigations discovered that the scout was a genuine agency representative.

Following this, Olga moved to Moscow to start a career in modeling. From the very start she picked up work easily, appearing in several local shopping catalogues. 3 years into working as a model, Olga determined that she was ready to move on, and contacted the Madison modeling agency in Paris.

Olga was successful in securing work in France, and her modeling career went from strength to strength. On a personal note, a year after arriving in Paris she married a Frenchman. The marriage faltered after only four years, but Olga did have the consolation of a learning excellent French, and picking up a French passport. On the modeling scene Olga made quite a splash, appearing for well-know designers including Bebe, Valentino, Sisley and Helena Rubenstein.

One day in 2003 Olga met with a French movie agency. The move from modeling to acting is fraught with difficulties (the major one of which is many models cannot act), but Olga has a natural style with great screen charisma.

Her first major part came in the 2005 film L’Annulaire, in which Olga play a woman having a very sexual relationship with her manager at work. Next came a fleeting appearance in just the opening scene of Le Serpent (2006), where Olga appears bound and naked. Thankfully she succeeded in playing more than one scene in Hitman (2007), as a sexy, sassy accomplice of a trained killer. In 2008 Olga made her biggest entrance yet, as the bond girl Camille in Quantum of Solace.

Kate Beckinsale – Hollywood Actress

Kate Becksinsale was born and grew up in London. Her father was the immensely popular actor Richard Beckinsale (well known to UK viewers for his roles in the hit TV comedies Rising Damp and Porridge) and her mother was a successful actress, with many West End performances on her CV.  The acting environment obviously rubbed off on Kate, who attended drama school regularly as a kid. She also had a keen interest in languages, and loved writing poetry. For her last two years at school, she concentrated on French and English. Deciding upon how to continue her education was difficult for Kate. She wanted to concentrate full time on acting, but felt that actors needed to integrate with a wider range of people to grow. So she decided upon enrolling on a course in Russian and French at Oxford University.   Two years into the course, she landed a role in Kenneth Branagh’s Much Ado About Nothing playing the female lead Hero.  Much of the movie was filmed in Italy, undoubtedly causing Kate to fall behind with her studies. She dropped out of University to concentrate full time on acting.

The next few years Kate’s reputation in the UK soared. In 1996 she played a wonderful Emma in an Andrew Davies TV adaptation of the classic novel. In 1997 she put in a bright, accomplished performance in the very funny movie Shooting Fish.

Her talent came to be noticed stateside, and Kate’s first big Hollywood movie was the action blockbuster Pearl Harbor. Next came the female lead in the romantic movie Serendipity. The plot of the movie is all about fate and chance, and the role they play in our lives. A couple, whose chance meeting is obviously love at first sight, determine that if they are truly meant to be together forever, fate will ensure their paths will cross once again, and they need not leave each other phone numbers. Kate made a brilliant female lead, adorable and completely believable.

Kate’s next big lead was in the dark, stylish vampires and werewolves horror movie Underworld. Her part, the sexy Selene, called for Kate to wear a figure-hugging latex outfit (so difficult to get on and off that Kate had to minimise her bathroom visits when shooting!). Her male fans certainly appreciated the feisty costume. The vein continued for her next movie, the fantastical, and highly enjoyableVan Helsing a stylish reworking of Bram Stoker’s Dracula story.

2006 saw Kate appearing in amusing, but ultimately unsatisfying Click a pretty formulaic Adam Sandler vehicle.   The next year the actress returned to the horror genre, in the excellent Vacancy. A couple’s motor breaks down, so they are forced to stay in a remote motel. Soon they realise that their room is the stage of snuff movies, and they are set to be the next stars. Escape proves no easy matter.

Born in Itabira, Ana Beatriz Barros was born and raised in a small town in Brazil. When her father, an engineer by trade, landed a better job in Rio de Janiero, the whole family moved there with him. As a young teenager, Ana and her sister Patricia were messing around on the beach when a scout from Elite Model Management approached them and asked them to appear in a modeling competition run by the agency. Ana came first in the competition, winning the prize of a modeling contract with Elite (it would seem that you’ve got a much better chance of winning these competitions if you’re invited to appear, rather than entering yourself!). With her mother for company and support, Ana moved to New York. She carried on her school studies by mail, returning to Brazil just for examinations.

Ana Beatriz got an early break when she was select to appear for a big Guess? campaign. When the adverts appeared in magazines and on billboards, the modeling world was soon abuzz with curiousity about the hot new model.

Ana Beatriz has gone on to success both as a high fashion model (appearing for household names like  Christian Lacroix, Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino), and as an editorial model, featuring in all the glossy magazines including Elle, Vogue, GQ and Bazaar.

Currently, Ana divides her time between Paris (home of Elite Model Management), and New York (working for IMG).

Alicia Keys – Talented RnB Singer

Alicia Keys was raised in New York. She showed an interest in music from an early age, starting to learn the piano from the young age of 7. Playing piano came easily to Alicia, and although she was supposed to be learning classical piano, she was soon entertaining herself by composing and singing R&B at the keyboard. Alicia was determined to pursue a career as a musician – as a teenager she attended the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, majoring in choir.

Alicia started out as a professional musician by writing songs and submitting them to movie studios as possibles for soundtracks – her first breakthrough when she co-wrote and sung the song Dah Dee Dah on the blockbuster movie Men in Black soundtrack.

In 2000, Alicia managed to sign a record contract with J Records. Her first album, Songs In A Minor came out in 2001. Sales were at first slow, but snowballed, eventually going on to sell more than 10 million copies. It also won five Grammy Awards.  Favorite tracks on the the album include Fallin’ and A Woman’s Worth.

Her sophomore disc, The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003) was released to a solid fan-base, and quickly went platinum.  Singles off the album include If I Ain’t Got You, and You Don’t Know My Name.

After a nearly four years gap, Alicia’s third studio album, As I Am was released in late 2007. The first single to be released off the album, the brilliant track, No One reached #1 in the charts.

As a young girl, Jessica Alba suffered from several bouts of illness. Her father was in the Air Force, and the family was posted to bases in Mississippi, then Texas. Thankfully by the time the family return to California, Jessica had shrugged off her poor-health, and had grown into a typically precocious youngster.

When just a few years old Jessica had announced her intention to be an actress – at the age of 12, she began acting lessons. Just twelve months later, her talent was recognized by an agency, and she was put on their books.

After playing a number of smaller roles, she landed a part in the successful TV series Flipper (which was filmed mostly abroad in Australia).

Making the transition from a child acting prodigy to a fully fledged adult actress can be a difficult hurdle, but Jessica proved herself capable of handling more mature roles with well-received parts in the movies Idle hands (1999), and Never Been Kissed (1999).

Next came her breakthrough role, in the fabulous TV series Dark Angel. Jessica played the part of Max Guevera, a genetically enhanced, transgenic, super-soldier who’s escaped from a secret governmental experimental program.

Jessica’s talents were much in demand, and she landed the role as the stripper Nancy Callahan in the dark and sinister (and nearly monochromatic) Sin City. More high headlining movie roles have followed, with starring parts in Into The Blue (2005), and Fantastic Four (2005).

Izabel Goulart comes from simple origins – her father worked as a decorator, her mother sayed at home to look after Izabel and her 6 siblings. Once, when Izabel was out supermarket shopping with her mother, a hairdresser fell into conversation with them and suggest Izabel’s striking looks were perfect model material.
